Quick Facts: Round Robin tournament with Quarterfinals and Finals after lunch • 3–5 players per team • Game time is forfeit time!

Game Setup

Game Length5 innings, or till the air horn is blown
Outs2 per team per inning
Mercy Rule10 runs after 3 innings
Field Players3 (1 pitcher, 2 outfielders)
BattingAll 5 players, same order
Pitching2 different pitchers per team

Hitting & Outs

No walks! Every at-bat = out, hit, or home run. All foul balls count as strikes.
Strike Zone: Determined by backstop – batting team can monitor.

You’re OUT if:

Base Awards

WIFFLE Ball field diagram
Single
Ground to 45’
Double
45’ to 65’
Triple
65’ to 85’
Home Run
Beyond 85’

Ground balls: Single if it reaches the 45’ line OR stops before the pitcher gets it.

Fly balls: Awarded by landing zone.

Bobbled balls: Best of where the fielder touched it OR where it landed.

Equipment & Rules

Bats: Yellow WIFFLE bats only (tape/newspaper mods OK).

No bunting – full swings only (weak contact is fine).

Home run catches: Legal if the fielder has one foot in fair territory.

Self-officiated: Teams call their own games; the batting team monitors strikes.

No substitutions during active play.

No stealing – runs must be forced.

Tournament Info

Arrival: 10 minutes before game time
Disputes: Resolved by tournament organizers
Standings: Points (Win = 3, Tie = 1, Loss = 0)
Tiebreaker: Run differential (Runs For minus Runs Against)
Fair play expected from all participants

Tie Games: If tied after 5 innings – start a runner on 2nd, 2 batters per inning, 5-swing max, play until a winner is decided.
